MSC - Tunis to Mallorca 28-29 October

Overnight we cruised from Tunis to Palma de Mallorca arriving about midday and after having lunch we took the shuttle bus to get us into the centre of town. We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...

Well after 2 weeks in Spain we have swapped blue waters and sun for beautiful architecture and bicycles!!
Our last week in Mallorca was spent mainly in Cala D'or where we would wake up, go to the grocery store to buy yogurt and fruit, and then off to the beach. Cala D'or has 3 coved beaches that have rock on either side.
      We did ...

As such, the beach is pebbles of various sizes rather than sand, but the view from the beach to sea through two giant rocks is beautiful. The Mallorquin landscape, of white/grey rocks, interspersed with bright green trees and seas of turquoise and vibrant dark blue is ...

      Hello!

We are still on the island of Majorca but have now moved to the coast. Cala D'or is the classic tourist destination. Lots of restaurants with overpriced bottled water (3.5 euros/bottle) and all the other tourist type of stuff. Its really beautiful though! My favourite part is the water, super nice blue colour just gets me all fired up to go swimming. Today we drove north and visited a castle. I dont ...

      Excursion en coche!

... told, there's not a lot here and although the village was definitely very pretty, I think I missed what the fuss is about! With all of these places though, half of the lure must be the drive to get there, going across the mountains with amazing views of the countryside and the coast alike. After these few hours of driving, we thought we deserved a little downtime and headed down to Cala de Deia (the beach). This was a lovely small secluded beach ...
