This port is all about the shopping and beach. We rented a scooter and rode up the coast about 10 miles to a perfect sandy beach. Laid out for about 2 hours then back on the road to check out a few non touristy towns. This is what I love to do but makes Jamie a little nervous. The first stop on our cruise is Katakolon, Greece (which is right outside of Olympia). We decided not to eat breakfast today and eat lunch early right before we got off the ship. Today we are in Katakalon which is the port for Olympia. We took a morning tour to Olympia which was about a 45 minute drive. ... and was remarkable for being largely unremarkable. There was too much rubbish on the road sides. The countryside looked dry but was green - Antonis said in winter it rains once, for 4 months. A NZ'er would describe the vegetation as scrubby. The one distinct feature was the sugar cane, much of which seemed to have sprung up in clumps and growing wild, although it won't be native. At an intersection a young boy was approaching stopped cars and ...

... to any further knocks at their door. Ang and Tina ordered room service and shortly after Tina and Andrew went to their cabin. The next day Andrew didn't recall room service - he'd had a big night. None of us know what time it was when we camped down, but we are pretty sure it was quite late (or early depending on your point of reference). Aside from short lived headaches for Craig and Andrew when they woke, all was good the following morning. So much for the rest ...
