Dinner was Asian and a beer or ...

... coffee, you go to a cafe. If you want to smoke, you go to a coffee shop! Coffee shops sell coffee too, but this is where you go predominantly to smoke! You can smoke in any coffee shop, and basically anywhere outside without bring arrested. Common courtesy is expected! But walking your dog through the park, sitting on the doorstep of your house, or at a concert are all accepted! And there are probably 100 or more coffee shops spread all over the city.
