The window in the hostel was closed but something still woke me up early, around 6.30am, and I was eager to get away. Everyone else in my hostel room was still asleep, so I quietly packed my things and moved my bags into the hallway. Then, in stages, I took my gear to my bike. ... live & learn :) First stop was Marken we saw a clog making demonstration, which was both interesting & entertaining. Then we walked through the town (very pretty) to the harbour where we boarded the ferry to Volendam. The tour had booked out the VIP room ( cabin) where we all had a huge piece of homemade apple pie & coffee. Ferry ride took approx 30 mins. When we arrived in Volendam we embarked on another walking tour and then had some free time to ...

It's been a while since I blogged so I will try to condense all the things I have done since... Here it goes.

Let's see, two weeks ago was my friend Sonia's birthday so we celebrated her birthday at this bar called The Walkabout. It's an Australian bar that also has karaoke on Thursdays that we sometimes go to. It was really fun and all had a great time. I stayed in all weekend to try and conserve some of my money. My friends and ...
