    I guess I will start right where I left off. Friday evening we arrived at Hotel van Oranje, which is right on the coast in Noordwijk, Netherlands. Like I formerly mentioned, we chose to stay a little bit further out from Amsterdam because we wanted to be close to the tulip gardens that we were going to on Saturday, and because Hotel van Oranje is owned by Mariott (where all of our hotel points are).     ... missed the Van Gogh Museum). The only real goal we had was that, at the suggestion of my brother, we track down a bosche bol from Ge van Avezaath B.V.     ... and a big one at that. Three large trucks have piled into each other and are spewed out right across the road. Cars can only just get passed but big trucks are having a mighty task at getting passed.

    ... is something I found really confronting, despite the fact that I've seen a few similar places in other countries. Essentially this area is a tourist attraction, however it is so demeaning to the women who work there. Everywhere we looked there are see-through rooms (big enough to fit a single bed) lit up in red light and in each room were women in lingerie (sometimes not wearing anything) trying to seduce any person that walks past.
