      ... thought we might stay there but changed mind and decided to head for Dubuque - on the Mississippi. that was not such a good idea as we could not find a motel on the road we were taking.

      Had planned to have an early finish but it was not to be. decided to head for Prairie du Chien and look for dinner on the way. It was after 5.30. Passed through Luxemberg thinking it might be a place for a meal being on the crossway ...

      I had to wait for my carry on to come up so that I could go find my big suitcase. There wasn't enough room so our carry ons had to go under the plane.       ... Further down the land had been cleared and and large farms were plenty. I did not see any cows until almost the end of the day when I saw a large dairy farm with several barns full of cows. On the Wisconsin car license plate it says 'The Dairy State' .
