Basically this is how I get around, like the majority of people in Amsterdam.
Biking is crazy, kinda dangerous, and sometimes cumbersome (if you have a one gear bike with pedal breaks like I do).

Amsterdam has always been a place of contradiction for me. In one sense, during the day it is filled with wonderfully quant houses and a local population who seem pleasant and always keen to help.
