Nerd day at the Neues Museum
I woke up and boy did I feel a lot better. I'd slept the cold right out, or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof. The weather was still cold and raining, so I pledged to hit the museum. I packed my day bag, grabbed some random cheese and cold cuts and a little roll from the breakfast buffet and hit the road.
I arrived at the museum …
Guten tag Berlin
The day broke grey and drippy,. which is pretty much how I was feeling. Definitely a cold. Serious lack of energy, but I couldn't let that stop me from seeing something of the city. I forced myself out of bed and out into the drizzly day. My first stop was Alexa, the shopping plaza across the road from the Alexanderplatz, where a tourism office is …
Planes, Trains, Automo... buses...

I don't have the attention span required to appreciate art in the way that some people can. That being said, sometimes trying can be fun.
I decided upon the Gemäldegalerie …

This appears to have been an apartment building during the Communist era in East Berlin. Although spacious enough, my room was very oddly shaped, being about 7 feet across and 20 feet long. The washroom was the same. Prices were reasonable and being a 5 minute walk from the Alexanderplatz (central transportation hub) makes it great for getting around.
