We drove back into the last village that we passed through to fill with water. There was a small harbour and pleasant sea front. We then drove around the last part of the road around the island. We bought our tickets for the journey back to the main land, we had half an hour to wait. It sailed on time and twenty minutes or so we were back on dry land. We set off in the direction of Thessolonki, we plan to drive along the ...

... a few kilometres town a track that at times was very wet and muddy. The centre was all closed up and the gates locked. We parked a bit further along the track and walked for an hour or so until we got to a very muddy bit and then returned. We settled in for the evening. After we had eaten we heard very close to us a pack of jackals howling, it was very loud, surprisingly Logan didn't flinch or seem to notice, we heard them several times in the distance during the ...

... very funny. They were these two gorgeous sisters in their 80s who had moved to Berri in S.A. in 1958 and lived there and then moved to Adelaide when their children went to Uni. They were back in Greece visiting a cousin. We had a lovely chat to them and they were so happy that we were from Australia too!

I remembered some of the coastline from when I passed through nearly 40 years ago. We ...
