Finally arrived after a long plane voyage. All has gone well. We are staying in Coreca at Lido, condos that are rented out and directly across from the ocean. The train tracks are in between the condo and the ocean. You just have to walk through the tunnels under the tracks and you are at the ocean. Quiet time of year since it is September and the busy July and August months are done. People are fishing off the shore. We have been to the ocean three times thus far. It ...

... long conversation using a translating app on our IPad. It turned out that he wanted us to take in some of the sights of a near by town and in particular a wonderful old castle.

So, rather than disappoint the guy by indicating that we just wanted to rest up we jumped straight back into Travis and headed off on the 16 kilometre round trip to find a castle that we didn't really want to see anyway.

We eventually found this old town with the supposed nice castle only ...

... I see a hardware store so we walk in. It's full to the brim of hardware. When I say full it was like someone had just kept shoving things in on top of another! It was an incredible sight and I immediately thought nah! this guy won't have it or won't be able to find it. I turn around to leave and asks me what I am looking for. I tell him a door knocker and he turns and rummages around for a bit and hands me a plain one and the lions head one! ...

... before stopping at Il,Scoglio for the best ever gelato in all of Italy. Dinner is at Il Genchii which is an old jail in the historic centre of Fagnano. It has been renovated into a restaurant. The chef/owner comes out and suggests we eat something he will prepare for us. We have been caught with this before and it's ended up costing us a fortune for a basic meal. We tell him no because we all have different tastes and prefer to order what we want off the menu. ...

... and we also have to stop and buy yummy ricotta for our lunch. A ricotta a day is what we have been having's that delicious!
we visit more relatives in the afternoon, C ook dinner for ourselves and then go to the amphitheatre to watch some comedy plays. Fagnano has an amphitheater in the middle of town behind the Main Street ...who would have thought! It's a great set up and the theatre fills up with eager fans all wanting to enjoy some comedy. It's excellent.
