... a bus to Valparaiso. The bus ride costed the equivalent of $0.50, took about 35-40 minutes, and the driver drove at a rapid pace. We got off at Plaza Sotomayor and spent about a couple minutes checking out the plaza. It was really cool looking, and had a pretty cool statue. After the plaza, we headed towards the oldest funicular in Valparaiso, Cerro Conception. The streets around the funicular were pretty quiet, but we were able to find the funicular eventually. We ...

... it was quite the opposite, but we had a beer on the pier watching the sun drop towards the ocean.

There was supposed to be a wine festival event near the pier, but we couldn't get any more information about it even from the security guards at the building so we headed home. ... It was pretty rickety.

Our hotel is lovely; it is recognized with Relais and Chateax. We went to the bar for our welcome drink, and both of us ordered the Pisco Sour. It was delicious. It took forever to get to us, and I wondered if they were making the booze. It was a lovely drink and probably one of the best Pisco Sours we have ever had.

Since it is such a recognized hotel we knew the ...

We had been given a railcard by the hostel owner and having walked to the station proceeded to try and find out the cost of a journey to the next town of 'Viña del Mar'. The lady simply took the card, beeped it and said to go ahead despite having written down a figure that was four times what we were expecting. It was too late to get the bus now we thought and headed for the train, swiping the card on the barrier as we went. ...
