... walls, dirty streets. Getting off the bus we were lucky to find the ascensor that would give us access to Concepcion & Alegre. Once again the elevator was dilapidated, looking as if it was running on a wing and a prayer. It cost N.Z, 80c/ea to ride the thing, but once we'd spent an hour walking the narrow cobblestone streets at the top we began to understand why this is a UNESCO world heritage site.

... We took a day trip to Vino del Mar and lounged on the beach and then drank cervezas which catching an amazing sunset. But most of our time in Valpo was spent exploring the city and the amazing street art and eating delicious meals and drinking too much wine.
