Yesterday's visit to Ferrol had spurred us into an early start. The hotel bar was open for coffee but it just seemed surreal particularly as breakfast wasn't included. We took the opportunity to head back to Pontedeume and the beach at Cabanas for coffee and pastries. ... hit the high twenties and as the wind picked up still further and we surfed down a long wave at 11 knots, we put the sail away altogether and crashed along under bare poles alone.
