... 15 minutes to take pictures by the small river which had very little water in it and a lot of garbage. We got back on the bus and drove to Aleta to see an old church and that was locked soooo we went back to the ship and went to dinner but first I talked on the phone and managed to lose my glasses. Didn't realize it however until after dinner and then ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... getting ourselves into, we embarked on the hike with just our "flippy-floppies". The start of the hike was nothing more than a walk in the park with a nice stone path that led us into a manmade tunnel. The tunnel was pretty neat, complete with ropes to help guide us in the dark and to avoid bailing on the slick rock. Once out of the tunnel, the path changed ...
Benidorm, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjonThese pictures are from me trying to take a photo of myself writing with my ancient feather pen from the Alicante market and from walking around Alicante on a tour of the the two cathedrals, San Nicolas y Santa Barbara.

Frustrating! One was really interesting it was a boiled egg that was fried in a batter and served. At first I thought it was a chicken nugget then I thought it was fried cheese then I realized there was yoke.
Some of the people in our ...
... with: "What nationality are you?" I stared at him blankly and replied "British", I joked, "this is the BRITISH consulate". He then wisely replied "no, no. Many people don´t realise this but Britain actually consists of England, Scottland, and Wales". At this point someone else sitting behind, him who we had previously spoke to, started to silently cry laughing. I replied "yeh, I know but....." He then interupted me and said "no, your not hearing me, the Island ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... few hours Miguel turned up and told us his stories of being lost which involved running round the city for two hours looking confused. He obviously went up for a shower. Shortly after a German girl (Jessica) started talking to me looking to meet some people. She told me a funny story about how she had just seen this crazy looking confused person running around a bus stop. This story was ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01First of all I can´t believe we actually survived the night. Whats more is that the lizards and cockroaches running around didnt go near me. Thats a good start.
Never see famous people in England , yet you cycle 1500 miles to a supermarket in the middle of Spain you find Tony Robbinson. Amazing. Then we ate big food ...
... make it over too. Should all be good. And it's great to just be hanging out with the parental units again. I got up on my first morning here to see Mum and Dad reclining by the pool and they looked like something out of Hola! magazine. It was funny. I got a very odd, but very nice, sense of pride. Pride in my parents. I know they've worked their asses off all their life and made some very ballsy decisions when it came to things like moving ...
