    ... in Firenze it was straight to Giotto's Bell Tower @ Piazza del Duomo which also has the Bapistry, Cathedral and Cupola. Mr Hands chose the Bell Tower to climb as it is only slightly lower than the Duomo and gjves you a view of the Duomo and Firenze.
    The only catch is - its 414 steps up and 414 steps down. I would swear there are more steps going up than down based on my laboured breathing and heart rate. As I've said before though, perhaps this will guarantee me of ...

    07/07/2014 When we booked the house at Montefioralle , the web site showed "have a dinner with the family" . So we had booked a dinner for tonight last year.     ... entry costs and the heat. Great idea -not the best timing?

    We opted to get back to the van and try to shower off the heat. A successful choice.

    After very little discussion we rationalised our situation and circumstances and decided to head back to France via the coast, Pisa, Lucca, Genova and San Remo. Perhaps we can find cooler climes and physical climbs to suit our tastes?
