... should go inside the Dumo today or tomorrow. We had a dinner at Lamole tonight and thought it best to go home and rest and get ready, so we did. DINNER AT LIMOLE : I can't say enough about this place. And I have probably said it before, and no doubt I will say it when I see you all in person. Filippo was his gracious self , made us feel welcome. We were there at sunset this time so as the sun melted behind the hills we saw the colours of ...

... too..... Easy, a few beeps and our hearts were smashing through our chest, but we were free of the autostrada. We then decided to forget about finding the bike shop and headed straight for Fiesole. Then Ken had his revenge on us for not listening to him properly. It was full of angry locals and moped drivers who wanted to use our ...

I did find a nice place to eat lunch just outside of the city with a nice view along the coast, so I guess there is always somewhere that looks nice anywhere. Next along the coast was Portofino. It required a slight detour, but I think it was most worth it. Cute, though it almost looks like it was made to be a tourist trap.

... from the Germans in 1944. After a great sunset and people watching, I crossed the river to hit a recommended restaurant for dinner. Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco. My waiter was born in Florence and has lived here his entire life - I think he was around 55 years old.  The couple next to me were from New York but spend a month at a time in Italy. We chatted about the food and the rest of my itinerary and they gave me recommendations for must see activities along the ...

... were on our own for breakfast. We had a simple coffee and pastry breakfast and the owner charged us only a couple of Euros total. Very cheap considering we were at the most popular and priciest square in Florence. We finished the quick breakfast and went for a short walk down the Via Vecchereccia cobble stones toward the Via Por Santa Maria street which leads directly to the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. At the intersection was the La Borsa Restaruant advertising ...
