... hall is a large statue of Giovanni da Verrazano who discovered the Hudson bay in New York. According to our guidebook he was born just a few km south of greve so they consider him their son. At the bottom of the square you find Santa Croce church with 14th century frescos. Although Greve is very small it is also truly beautiful, quaint and authentic. ... looks after travelers, we had by some miracle gotten us to our destination. Things further improved when we walked downstairs to a restaurant and ate what was one of the best pizzas and drank the best chianti we had ever had.
As luck would have it, tomorrow, right here in the town square within sight of our window, is the annual meat festival! HOT DAMN!

... let us swim through. We found this little passageway in the cave and climbed up some of the rocks that led outside of the cave. We found a big rock that blocked the way to the other side that we had to swim under to get out. I felt so adventurous! Then we headed back to the beach where we got lunch and laid out for the rest of the day.

... but the quality of the microphone was so ****** you had to turn up too loud so you could try to decipher what she was saying.  The crowds here were unbelievable!  Wall to wall people, so that combined with the heat made it very difficult.  When I come back it will not be in the high season, and I definitely would nt recommend going this time of year to anyone else.  There is also a heavy haze over the Tuscan hills which I'm not sure if it's due the heat, pollution or what. ...
