Final dinner at Baglio Oneto tonight. Had our dinner in the restaurant tonight think a certain lady had been complaining about the mozzies in the courtyard. It was our last night with Lorraine tonight as she was getting a taxi early in the morning to Palermo, where she was going to Scandinavia for another three week tour. Sadly said goodbye.
... apartment, compact but with plenty of room, it was nice ,aircon, balcony , tv , wifi, view of other high rises etc.
That night we planned to explore our end of town. Palermo is quite a large city, it's dirty in places and broken down but has a few nice parts too. ... behind too Helen and Geoff and Lorraine and Gordon and Peter, all a bit worn out now and the hotel is truly a beautiful place to have a rest.
Had a wine tasting in their dining area this evening at 6.00 pm. Only liked the white wine and they really only gave us a taste of their house wines so a bit of a waste of time.
Had our evening meal out in the courtyard which was lovely.
... First stop for us was a cup of coffee as I needed the bathroom, and then we walked and wheeled further up the street to see what it was like. Wasn't too good, so doubled back and found a ceramic shop on the other side of the piazza where I bought a lovely plate to put on the wall of our back patio. Very bright and colourful.

Off to the airport to pick up Mark who has joined us for a few days so we get to see some more of the Island. We then head up to a historical town called Erice for lunch and the views were stunning. A Sunday night stroll through the city to show the sights to Mark was a real eye opener as all the SIcilians were out promenading so we just had to stop and have a Mojito and people ...
