... have mentioned that on Wed afternoon there was no time to do anything except take the hotel shuttle bus around Rome, never getting off, You saw the picture of St Peter's in the last blog. On the bus we met a couple from Algeria who only spoke French. I impressed them with my high school french telling them "My name is Giovanna", "How are you" and "Where is the library?". Anyway it was a nice place to relax and chill out for a couple of days. While Phil and Michelle went out looking for an appropriate place to try out a few wines, Alita and I went back to the apartment and sat out on our balcony, soaking up the ambiance and serenity (bit of ...

We'd booked a wine tasting experience a while back. The location was in the middle of nowhere about 1.5 hour's drive from the hotel. The reception advised us to visit Spoleto and Bavagna as they are more or less en route. We're glad we did as both were lovely for different reasons. Spoleto is a largish hill town with a castle at the top and a pretty duomo. We trekked ...
