Our journey in Assisi was coming to a close but not before we headed down the hill to Basilica de Santa Marie degli Angeli. ... to Orvieto. Yet another Medieval town, we know it will be a challenge to drive into town, but the reality exceeded our expectations. The GPS tried to send us on a closed road, the wrong way on two one-way streets, and finally to our B&B on a completely inaccessible road for the car we had rented. It was about 6:30 p.m. and we were hot, tired and frustrated. A very kind and articulate 12 year old boy saved the day by guiding us to a ...
