... As this road is not treated for snow or ice it had hard packed ice patches all along the way. On a number of occasions I had to kill the engine and get my feet down and simply use the rear wheel as braking and control it by use of the clutch and just edge along at very slow speed. In situations such as this one thing one must not do is touch front brakes.

Our hotel was right on the town square which gave us a great view of the hills and mountains. The next day we took cable car, then a ...

Today we began the mammoth task of packing and then saying goodbye to everyone as this was our last day in Trentino. I've decided I'm brave enough to have a crack at driving! So I did a little driving yesterday and today I drove us up the mountain to San Martino. Paul forgot to sort out his international license before we left and has been driving without it so I figure its not much different me driving :) ...

... kids ran around in the playground. The playground had 13 swings in it (why I don't know) and last time we were here and Nicolas was 2, he was obsessed with swings so I nearly fainted when I saw this playground and was imagining how to ever make him leave! When some of Paul's cousins kids arrived on the bus home from school, the kids had afternoon tea and a play with them too. We then went across the road to Angela's house where she took ...
