... city, we were able to walk off the ship, and walk into town. The streets of old Genoa are narrow ones that snake up the hillside. This was great, because there wasn’t a lot of vehicular traffic. It just made for tough pictures because the narrow streets were shaded by buildings. There is a lot of gorgeous architecture in Genoa. We really enjoyed just walking around and taking it all in.

Rough Seas; Calm "Cabin"
... by the beauty that is Italy. We made our way to Monterosso, the little town a few minutes from Vernazza by train. We were going to hike it, but were told that the hiking trail was closed because of mudslides so we just took the train. Had we known the truth (it’s actually open, but there’s no one there to take the fee). That was the last beautiful day we would have until we left, but we didn’t know that then, of course.

... are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The next day was Kara's birthday so I said we could do whatever she wanted to do. Our tentative plan was to do some hiking between the villages. We also explored our town a little before we made dinner and the views were gorgeous! The shores are all rocky and the water is GORGEOUS!! The clearest water I have ever seen in my life. I couldn't want to go swimming at some point!
