We had noticed one of the restaurants was reserved for Anna's first communion and we soon saw lots of young Italian kids dressed to the nines - white communion dresses and a boy in an embroidered cassock - had heard the bells, so guess that was the end of Mass. Anyway…the night was great as usual and we parted ways…M & P are trying to find accommodation for at least 6 months as they have decided to base themselves in Lucca and travel from there (like us). Mary and I made our way past my favourite ‘gelato’ establishment and I bought my nightly gelato… mmmm!!!
