      ... known for It's excellente salumi and cheeses, and we had our fill of it all! We the drove up to an even smaller town called Castelluccio, known for growing superb lentils. But we also saw lots of sheep being watched over by a shepherd and sheep dogs. Quant and beautiful!

      ... min walk battling peak hour crowds going other way to Hotel California- 69€ for good size room with lift. Modern minimal decor in rooms- converted old apartment building. Dinner at restaurant next to hotel, good zuppa ******i and pasta, my gnocchi were a bit stodgy with very rich tomato paste, and steamed veg over cooked. Entertaining young Albanian waiter/spruiker. Best I have seen. Cost reasonable ...

      Ciao!

      Yesterday (Friday) we picked olives at the nearby Villa. I don't know why we bothered. The olives are infested with fruit fly larvae. The olives are lumpy. Giovanni opened one up and we could see the larvae in the meat of the olive. Yuck!!! But we did several trees anyway. And, I got to enjoy a picnic lunch of prosciutto, fresh bread ...
