We weren't in a hurry to get out this morning. There really wasn't much to see between hotels, and besides I had my piggies done. It feels so good to feel human again.
The drive took us almost three hours to arrive in the small town of Cala Gonone. It was, however a beautiful drive. We drove very steep and windy roads today. There wasn't ...
... our own table at the restaurant. Last time we had shared with the loveable Gwens. The menu is exactly the same as the other MSC ship which is disappointing. We thought all the ships would have their own menus. We decided not to go to the theatre tonight.
We had hoped for a quiet night but we were not fortunate. Both neighbour's were party animals! We set our clocks forward an hour.
Tomorrow we arrive in Katakolon ...

About to give up (again!), Matt spotted what he thought was the top of a Nuraghe, so we parked our car on the side of the road and started the trek up the steep rocky hill I deemed nearly impossible for our little rental car. Our persistence paid off with a large Nuraghe! We were able to go inside and check out the small ...
... all over our patio area and it was so pretty. I definitely wish I could bring one of those trees home with me, but I don't even have to check to know that wouldn't be allowed.
We managed to book a shuttle directly through our resort that would take us to the Cagliari airport (about 2.5 hour drive) and from there we got a taxi from the taxi stand by the arrivals that took us to our hotel in Cagliari. It was by far the easiest transportation day we've had all trip.
... gave it a perk.
We spent our evening sitting by the main pool again and listening to the music. Every night they play music by the pool and it's the same rotation of European/Italian songs which EVERYONE loves and knows the choreographed dance to with English songs mixed in. The DJ also loves Bruno Mars and did a lot of singing over the music, which he butchered every time.
Banking issues aside, it was a pretty good day :)
