    Marina di Camerota

Yesterday left Positano. We took a shuttle to Salerno then picked up a car from Avis. The coast road from Positano to Salerno was truly breathtaking and the driver quite friendly and tried to explain a few sights along the way. Headed south and stopped at some Greek ruins in Paestrum which dated back to BC. Weather a little cold and rainy or we probably would have stayed longer. Took the scenic root to Marina di Camerota. Stopped at Bascillicata and had a late lunch at a little pizzeria. ...

... a week . The weather is not helping us here. This afternoon we meet Kellie who has flown in from Hamburg.
Yesterday we drove (in a bus - the car will stay in the garage here in Sorrento) to Amalfi and everthing we had been told about this drive is true. I have great respect for SITA bus drivers. We went on a little further to Minori and Maori - our favourites - far from the madding tourists - walked a little ...

... dishwasher stuff, before returning to the street. As we were leaving the store, the proprietor was kind enough to tell us where a second ATM was. Down the street, and opposite. Sounded much easier, than it was. After asking directions three separate times, we finally found an "all service Bank".... but had no clue how to enter thru the locked door. A passerby, helped us by showing us how to slip the cash card into a side slot for entrance. ...

... up going back to the beach a little disappointed that the guide hadn't taken us there first.

We had a late lunch and the boys share whole baked fish which was pretty tasty. After lunch we headed back for a spot of swimming in the pool, playing table tennis and a last BBQ together. After dinner we celebrated an early birthday for Ethan with a cake that Nathalie had arranged and Ben and Ethan traded birthday presents.

... out for dinner at a restaurant at the nearby town of Vatolla

It was an awesome dinner with four courses including antipasto, pasta, meat dish and desert along with red wine and grappa at the end. Dinner for four was a total of EUR100, really good value for home made food with gluten free dishes especially for Jen.

    What a great night....
