That is what I feel like this year. Every start is up up and up again and within 10 mins we are back to being the 3 drips again.....it is so hot and humid! Today's start was a bit different. After ringing around yesterday Gilles spoke to the lovely guy who handles the Italian side of the walks and I think he felt a bit sorry for us and have a feeling his friend Paolo, from where we stayed at Rocca, told him of our concerns. ... climbing but easy this time as on the road to next village, stopped for icecream and coffee. Such delightful and welcoming bar owners. Only 5 kms to village... BUT ironically we set off on the 17 mills walk....I for one saw none!!! Tomorrow (Monday) is meant to be a hard day, from top of highest mountain in the area to the sea. See how we can stuff this one up! This is the fun of these walks - the challenges presented each ...

... us, but during the day would disappear, revealing a blue sky. Occasionally in the early morning and misty afternoons the sneaky clouds would cover the monolith of the mountains, so they looked like mere mounds on the horizon. We discussed at length if we would prefer to be a mountain or a cloud. We also discussed which of the two we thought we actually were. On this trip, I think I'm a little whiskey grey cloud. I would like to be a mountain. One that had lots of trees and ...
