Quaint little hotel with very friendly staff who are always happy to help. If you're looking for luxury, this definitely isn't it, but the quirkiness and genuineness of this hotel will add to your overall Venice experience nicely.

The caves are quite beautiful - amazingly the larger pillars grow at a rate of 1 inch every 250 years and the smaller "spaghetti" strands are even slower at ?1mm every 100 years. You can't really get an idea if the size in the photos but the caves at there highest point would have to be 5 or 6 meters in height and perhaps even higher so you can imagine the age of some of these structures!
