The Alps are truly amazing.....went on a train ride from St Moritz this afternoon and every turn was incredible. I am now sold on train trips. Great way to see the world. St Moritz is just as you would imagine....full of shops carrying every fancy label you have ever heard and many you haven't heard of. Being Sunday the shops were closed. We scooted around the Swiss Mountains on our way to Chur, and the scenery was beautiful. We checked in ...

Hidden plazas, intriguing paintings on the buildings and unique churches are waiting to be discovered around the corner. I duck into a cybercafe, to check train schedules, hostel availablity... and just think over my options. I do need to do some more exploring around Milan--in fact, I intend ...

Day 238 2 hrs, 6 kms Next the valley narrows into a short gorge and then widens again. I'm approaching Morbeegno, the largest city of the the Valtellina Valley. Here there's a bit of sprawl and much of the industry of the valley is concentrated here. But first there's another town, Talamona, with a clear separate identity, with a nice gothic ...
