... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

    Sparkling Lights in Lugano

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. ... Pakistani,Bangladeshi or Africans. Its a sure sign of the decline of the Italian empire when Romans can't be bothered to do the ripping off! They like the colours salmon and yellow for their houses, green or grey shutters. They also have something against Santas as they seem to delight in hanging these inflatable Santas off their windows, roofs etc.

    Anyway, thats all for now....

See you all back in Australia.

... a very enjoyable day and again have felt privileged to have experienced such amazing scenery, fine weather and the beautiful art and culture of Lake Como.

The only down side to our day is that Jodie is still sick. A real trooper she has been with Malcolm and Karen all day. They have tried to get her to rest or go back to the hotel but she would always say that she was not pushing herself and was okay. We all are hoping that she will be better soon and not get worse and ...
