    I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. We had a very short uphill section from our overnight stop to rejoin the delightful road which runs over the Cisa pass, and then we were on our way.     There isn’t much to report from yesterday. It was basically a rest day that involved wandering around Morbegno’s streets as well as running a few personal errands.

    ... and departing for Monza from here last Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Today, we continue our travels in Italy and head north to Como! Except for a little confusion just prior to our trains departure, the last three coaches needed to be empty but no TrenItalia staff informed the passengers until the last minute. So, we all had to quickly move to other coaches closer to the front. But, we departed on time, 13:10 hrs and arrived in Como on time at 13:46 hrs. Only ...

    ... in more of a friendly teasing way). I happened to stay at Eleanora's parent's place that night as it was somewhat outside of Milan and we stayed out past the time the Metro ran, they even let me have my own bed and her dad slept on the couch, they were very nice hosts!

    The next day I had a small breakfast and was dropped off at the metro station so that I could check out of my hostel on time and then I was off to Florence!

    A very relaxing day today.

    Wow! What a glorious morning. The sun is shining brightly and the birds are singing. So much for the lousy weather – lucky us!

    We decided to head over to Pallanza today. As we ferry across the lake we look back towards Stresa and can see Someraro, Levo and Mottarone. What a hike!

    Did I happen to mention how many stairs we climb to get to our apartment? Only 60 - a piece of cake! The 'training' ...
