    ... weird.

    Anyway, with lots of hugs and happy cries of "buona ventura" (good luck), we all went our separate ways.

    Now it's late and I need to finish packing to get ready to leave for Venice bright and early tomorrow morning. I'm leaving most of my clothes here (I'm sick of them anyway) because I have no room for them now -- let alone when I leave Venice. We'll see what else I decided to leave behind there!

  • There don't seem to be many restrictions on smoking in public. People do it with impunity while walking down the street or standing on the train platform. I am ever so grateful that they don't seem to be able to do it ON the trains or IN buildings.
