    We had two nights with our friends Anna and Roberto, whom we had first met in Morocco earlier this year.

    ... and woodland mushrooms. Feeling in need for a break from the heat, we ventured to Alesso to find a spot to swim in the river. After taking a wrong turn, Dale took us up a rather precarious mountain road to, literally, nowhere (yes, I did sing Talking Heads' 'Road to Nowhere' on our ascent).     ... walked the 200m home. We walked on Friday, to Corvara, and ate....lots! Pork knuckle and veal for lunch, followed by strudel (of course!!). Car still in main street - completely covered in snow!

    ... Massive ravines and turquoise blue riverlets at the base. We managed to find our way over the causeway into Venice. Hello Italy!!! OMG! The hotel parking was a great intro to the Italisn way of life! We had to go in the exit- yes that's right ! Boom gate ? Don't worry just pull over, cause a massive traffic jam!
