    ... Massive ravines and turquoise blue riverlets at the base. We managed to find our way over the causeway into Venice. Hello Italy!!! OMG! The hotel parking was a great intro to the Italisn way of life! We had to go in the exit- yes that's right ! Boom gate ? Don't worry just pull over, cause a massive traffic jam!     ... tour of palace and the basilica both were very ornate. Some free time for shopping(yay finally)then gondola ride with serenade(another bucket list). Ditched the dinner in the hotel to have completely free afternoon and evening.More shopping,and more shopping,then beautiful dinner with Kerry And Dennis .Lobster pasta right on the water and great wine.Happy,happy,happy.     Found a track by matching the photo in the brochure with what I could see out the window, and then assumed that it was the right stone wall. Never did find the dovecote. Kept going up the hill and not into private driveways till there was a sign where the track split that indicated the way to Castelbrando. Made it.
