Trento is a surprise package. A city of approx 120 000 based on education and finance this city is located on the river Adige, a major trading route with Europe in earlier time, and completely surrounded by snow covered mountains. Spectacular.

to be the son of the owner. As our meal concluded, he brought out
two glasses of Mirto. To his surprise, we told we knew what were
being offered and our appreciation of it. He promptly withdrew the
glasses and disappeared. A few minutes later, he returned with
another offering, this time home made by one of their chefs. It was
clearer, lighter in colour but wonderfully smooth and tasty. It
capped a lovely evening out.
