... Nice town but not as good as the others. I've got about a million photos of the day. Unfortunately it's quite hazy so they won't show how beautiful this region is. Finally I go back to Varenna. This (for me) is definitely the best town. It's smaller and I love it. My BnB is in the square but the top floor balcony has beautiful views over the lake. ... That seems a bit odd. Not sure where the sand would come from. Probably just my eyes. We pass through lots of little villages which are very agricultural. Great food, great service and a nice chat with the owner on the way home was the perfect way to end another great stay in beautiful Bellagio.

... spectacular and we have been blown away with the vast mountain ranges with snow covering them, it was surreal.Sophie fell asleep at the perfect time as the road was starting to become a little winding.
We crossed the border from Austria into Switzerland and soon arrived at St Moritz. Once again the scenery was amazing with snow capped mountains, people skiing along walking tracks, husky's at training school and a lake that was covered over. We stopped for a break and a ...

... to be walking around and seeing the view from up high. The sun was setting when we rode the funicular back down and we spent some lazy time wandering around the waterfront area near our hotel.

We did laundry that night at a small four-machine laundromat around the corner and the kids went out for a late snack at a hole-in-the-wall donair shop near the hotel.

    Day 3 ...
