Just when we thought Venice was the most beautiful place we would visit in Italy, Varenna may have beaten it into second place. Neither of us can get our heads round the fact that we are actually seeing what's around us. The apartment is amazing and the views from the balcony alone are worth the trip. Claire has also befriended a blind cat so we keep having to think of excuses to go and see the lady so Claire can rub the cat.

Now, caffeine doesn't usually wake me up but this one worked. I googled ginseng and apparently it has the power to give you an energy boost. Magnificent! :D

We WILL go coloured on the poor schmucks ass. Let me at him. Being poor backpackers, we decided there was no point in paying for accommodation if we needed to be at the airport at 5am. Circling the airport's innards a few times, we eventually found a ...

Every candy store, toy store, dress shop, gellatoria is cause for serious investigation in case the perfect item might be inside. Final purchases? Tyler- a 1 euro smurf and a 2 euro plastic motorcycle. Evie - a 1 euro smurf and some postcards.
