... on ferry. Decided to eat out at a wine bar that Stu's colleague Amy had recommended called Cantina Follie. Designed like a wine cellar they serve meats, cheese, bread and wine. We tried 5 types of wine of which Stu enjoyed 3! Progress. Met owner, Dutch man who was very welcoming. Bought two bottles Stu liked and two bottles I liked then worried about how to get that in car! The weather was predicted to turn bad with thunderstorms due, although the sky certainly was grey for most of the day I got home without any rain etc although it feels like it's in the air and I can hear thunder. ... ladders! Apparently, the view of Lucca from up there was fantastic - I waited down the bottom - safer. It is the only tower in Lucca with trees on the top - seven of them. And Lucca is known as la citta dei torri! Collected the car from the villa and set direction for Collodi, Pinocchio's town! I'm sure you all remember the story, written by Carlo Collodi (not his real name but taken from the town in which he lived). ...
