kyle and i spent two days in venice. it is a maze of a city; we wandered the streets for hours and only once ended up back on a street that ze had already been on. the gondolas were expensive, so we enjoyed the, from afar. great shops and markets topped off with no cars!

This morning, we left Rome and took a train to Pompei to see the ruins left by a volcanic eruption in 79 AD. It was really cool to walk around and see what is left of the town.
