... couple of kilometres from here). Exhausted we make our way back down, gelato to power up, ferry back to home and cook up dinner.
Today we are back on the ferry to Como, walk along the foreshore to check out some large villas on the west side - now all owned by the Como Provincial Government, then onto the 'fast boat' and up to Menaggio which is midway north up the lake. The lake is 46km from one end to the other, so I guess we travel 20 ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Abby and I left for Bergamo early on Saturday morning (4 am from our house exactly). We took a taxi to the airport. Once at the airport, we sat there for over an hour with nothing to do because apparently nothing in the Valencia airport is open that early. We hopped on a Ryanair flight and we were off. We arrived at the Milan Bergamo airport at around 8:30. We met a nice lady at the tourist desk who helped us ...

Thursday 8th Jan - wanting to see a little of lake Como we chose a train trip to Varenna and a the short ferry trip to Bellagio. This little place, which is very popular in summer is known as the pearl of lake como, sitting at the peak where the two legs of lake Como meet.
After just a short 1 hour train trip to Varenna, our first stop was for a coffee to warm up. We found our way ...
