    Being sick any place but home is no fun. Normally you can fix yourself with a quick stop to the local pharmacia, but in Johan's case this did not work. He had a kidney stone and was in so much pain that he could not think. We talk to the hotel owner about going to a doctor and he gallantly called the doctor and ask him if he can come over to the …

    ... for the day. We buy bus tickets at the tobacconist. All passengers need to validate their tickets on a machine at the entrance to the bus, which we dutifully do. After a few bus rides we realise that we are probably the only people validating tickets. Does that mean everyone else is riding for free?     ... an old Roman site, with a beautiful old church of St Peter built on the site of a Roman temple to Venus (hence the name off the port). We took a short cruise from the port around three islands which was interesting. The boat was able to come in close to the cliffs and put its bow into a large cave in the cliffs.
