... and rather like an English seaside town, except that the shops sell foccacias and pizza. Our hotel is half a block from the beach but most of the stoney beach areas require you to pay to get in. You can hire a deck chair too, if you pay. We walked to the "old" town but didn't explore very much more. John picked up a paninni for dinner and sat on the balcony and ate it. What a rough life we lead! We have a tour guide and tour of Cinque Terre tomorrow. Let's hope the sea isn't too ...

As it was lunchtime, we visited a restaurant and John had some lovely carbonara spaghetti and was able to eat it without making a mess. Next a walk around Bellagio. Bellagio was really pretty ...

... district with designer stores, italian silk (Como is famous for silk) and tratorias. Found a little cheese shop tucked down an alley way that rocked my world. The goat's milk Gorgonzola was music in my mouth - I doubt if I will ever taste anything like it again. Ything! The 15 minute ferry ride back to Cernobbio was like stepping back again in time. There are ferry boats all day that traverse the lake. Some ...
