In a nutshell- Cousin Corrado took us all over Lake Como, including to the castle where they filmed Casino Royale, and George Clooney's place! He took us up the mountain side. We always thought that we were at the top, but then we went higher! We went for a walk around the area. We went down to S. Segmente for an expresso and then up into the hills. We also went to Lugano Lido where Corrado works in Switzerland for a fun day of swimming. The ...

... to and spoke English amazingly well for saying that they didn't speak English. That always happens here, you hear 'No, I don't speak English.' And then you have full on conversations with the people. I love how modest they are. If I had that kind of command of another language I'd be declaring, yes, I am fully fluent! Ha, ha. Tomorrow is Amy's birthday - we have lots of fun planned. Let's hope the weather holds, the clouds are rolling in and we have a boat ride ...

... and so the train makes a quick stop then moves off leaving six of us stranded in the carriage thinking what do we do now. The next stop is Bellamo just a few KM's down the line and the Poms had moved to another carriage in shame. That leaves us and the all American young couple. We have no trouble getting the door open and get off. We seek options on how to get back to Varenna from the station attendant. Take the next train going back, no it ...
