    Getting lost in Rome

A travel blog entry by larosa_m on Jun 19, 2015

... a great tour but by this time we were knackered but we kept walking. We went to a little cannoli place that I found on Google but it was in the middle of no where. The cannoli was great but not much selection by the time we got there. It was then time for dinner but we took a cab to rest a little. Dinner was spent in piazza navona at restaurant in the centre. We then decided to make it an early night and turned in for the night as we knew we had a big next ...

The Rocco Pia built in 1461 by Pope Pius II to control ...

Tomorrow we head off via a supermarket for a big ...

... the office so we gave up – worth about $20 to us.

The flight was fine and on time and lovely cousin Toni was waiting for us at Fiumincino. All the boys and grandchildren were there again tonight. Very noising but loads of fun and food once again fantastic. Best prosciutto. Toni’s home made in Fuschi was magnificent. It is also a LOT warmer in Italy – summer yet again!

Breakfast this morning was with Frank and Dianne, organised by Terhi ( Ivano is away for a couple of days). They are leaving after breakfast to spend a few days in Rome before heading home. Terhi gives them a bit of a run down on interesting and less known things to see in Rome and we listen in too. After breakfast, Terhi takes the others to the train station and when she returns, we get organised to go into the town of Tivoli to visit a couple of villas and their gardens. Terhi ...
