... to campo Di fiori where we got to experience all the markets set up where they sold flowers, cafetterie, pasta and limoncello in cool bottles. I loved this little spot and definitely want to go back there to buy some little things. At that point we decided to take a breather and enjoy the surroundings and we stopped at one of the little coffee spots in the centre. Giovanni had this beautiful creamy ice coffee and I decided to have a little ...

Tomorrow we head off via a supermarket for a big ...

I appreciate there is a difference in culture but today my patience was tried to the limit. The driving is bad enough when the traffic is flowing but in a traffic jam, it is unbelievable. A typical Italian driver doesn’t seem to bother about lane markings at the best of times so why use the three lanes on the ring road when ...

Today we visit the town of Palestrina and the site of an enormous temple estimated to be around 3000 years old. Palestrina is only ten minutes drive from Zagarolo so only around thirty minutes from Rome and is built down a hillside. During the Second World War it was bombed and the destruction revealed the top part of the temple, where houses had been built on top of the temple completely hiding it. The day started with Ivano ...
