My colleague at WFP, Chloe, her boyfriend, Ricardo, and I decided to rent a car and do a day-trip through the mountains outside of Rome. We ended up with Rome native Ricardo behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 cruising into the Italian country side. The leaves were just starting ...

The train was delayed 30 mins so we spent the time gypsy spotting. The train was near empty so was easy going with the bulging luggage. our driver was eagerly awaiting our arrivals and were ...

The plan today was to catch the train Ostia Antica ( the ancient port of Rome) after first visiting the beach for a stroll and lunch. We caught the train from Zagarolo to Roma Termini. There we switched to the Metro - and were quite surprised at the amount of graffiti on thenMetro system. Not just the station but the trains are entirely covered... Inside, outside, even the roof. Another change of train put us on the correct line and we went right to the end to Christoforo Columbo ...
