      ... lake. 70€ for single use of double room. Property run by Marco, nice young guy who spent a year in Oz, and his girlfriend who didn't speak English but was friendly enough. Property is owned by a local lady, and operated by his dad. Went for walk around village and to lake in arvo - strong winds and rain set in but looks like a good place to come back to. Cab fare from Como is 20€ but bus and ferry also available. Too wet to go out for dinner so ate at in ...

      After a couple of cups of coffee we set off for Parma and arrived at our hotel for the night.

      The hotel was located on the north side of the city and the room was probably the best that we had been accommodated in so far.

      Despite the late fun of last night, we manage to get up early enough and go through the routine of getting all the gear together, shower etc. As we're roughly on time I think it's better that we dont get on the tram to Centrale Station and opt for a Cab. The nice young lady at the counter rings for a taxi and whilst we wait, we sample San Giovanni's unique breakfast of Farley's Rusks and jammy biscuits - at least there was coffee at hand.
