... still active. Neil rang a bell and spoke in Italian to a nun who opened the door to the abbey before scuttling off without saying anything. It could be a silent order. She did give us a wave however. There are some lovely frescoes but most interesting was a very old style simple coffin. There was also a statue that I thought was Jesus showing some leg. Turns out it was a saint showing his bloody scars of martyrdom or the plague.
Throw in the occasional blue lake and the picture is complete. It was simply stunning. The town was very cultured with a couple of jewellery shops where I treated myself to a ring that was made by the old man who sold it to me. He is the 13th generation of his family to work in the shop. It was fascinating. We also bought a scarf and a wall hanging made from local wool from a charming talented lady.
... food was fabulous. We were served by her 11 year old grandson. The Italians are very family oriented and all generations spend lots of time together. We had 14 courses of food and four different drinks. We were all totally stuffed long before the dessert which we managed to force down. There were lots of laughs and a good time was had by all. Hello Everyone. Today we had to pack up and leave our gorgeous apartment in the Amalfi Coast. We decided to visit Positano and the ceramics shop which has made all the gorgeous tiles and pottery in this apartment. The shop is amazing and has been in the same family for 4 genertions. They custom make anything you want and we saw these amazing ceramic dining room tables. each one a work of art with your family name on them. We spent some time having a picnic on the ...

We meet Alex's friends at 1pm at her favourite pizza restaurant in Torino. They have a €9.50 lunch euro where you get a pizza, salad or dessert and 1/4 craft wine or beer. They are all nannies and swap stories of how their weeks have been so far.
