Had another lovely day in paradise, not such a good day weather wise as mostly raining, but still beautiful. In the morning we had an Austria guide to show us around a couple of churches and the city. Another abc of the churches so no more of them. The town of Innsbruck is beautiful a little similar to salzburg. We have fallen in love ...

We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...

Annabel bought some stuff and lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant. Beautiful local produce where Sues local treat was bresola a dried beef and salad. This little place is really interesting as it has the alpine village feel but is obviously the shopping Mecca of the area with all the designer goods ...

... but then we walked for 5 minutes then it started to rain and we turned back and had a hot chocolate then we headed back down the cable car to the train. We tried again to reach the glacier by walking in from the bottom of the glacier at Monteratsch train station. It was a 50 min walk up hill but it was worth it we had a better view of the water flowing we got to stand on top of a glacier and look down small crevice. The glacier was covered by dirt with thick ice on top ...

... There were views on either side of the train and the camera was getting a work out but I don't think it did the view justice. The Monteratsch glacier came into view, apparently the glacier used to be right beside the station 160 years ago but it has retreated significantly since then (hopefully tomorrow we will walk the glacier). We arrived in St Moritz and our driver was waiting for us, we checked in, not really knowing what to expect as we booked ...
