... I slowed the bike to make the most of the cool air pouring in through the vents in my jacket. Our route then followed the north western shore of lake Como to its northern end. The road was crowded with Cars and people out to enjoy a summer Sunday at the lake. ... I still have clothes on...it's ok, not walking naked. The sound of the river rushing by is relaxing and the birds are happy. ... was incredible. Postcard perfect. It's just so beautiful here. We met a couple Greg and Jean from California who we get on with really well so kinda tag teamed with them around the lakes. Cycling was great. Good to get off the feet for a change. Also eating lots of German cuisine which is a welcome change from pizza pizza pizza! Auf Wiedersehen Arrivederci ...

... at the railway station to collect our tickets for the Bernina Express before we headed to the Morteratsch glacier. We had a picnic lunch by the stream flowing from the glacier. Fuelled for the walk, we headed up the path to the Morteratsch glacier. Markers have been placed along the path to show how far the glacier has retreated over the last 135 years.
