A travel blog entry by lashez on Aug 11, 2015

Today we didn't bother with an alarm and we woke up around 930 and headed to breakfast. We had decided since neither of us particularly liked Milan that we would take another day trip somewhere and headed to the train station to buy tickets. When we arrived we went to a serve yourself ticket station. One guy was trying to help people and pretend he worked there. He had a ...

After swimming we changed and walked around Milan. Soon ...

Plenty of ostentatious designer shops but also a more hip and grungy side especially in Navigli where we stayed. Me like ! Just like Melbourne the airport is a long was from the city ( but you have great views of snow capped alps in the distance) and so a cab it was. Our hotel the Art Hotel Navigli was very nice and we had a 2 bedroom suite which was great ( with supermarket opposite). ...

    Day 40 - Vercelli to Mortara - 23 miles

A travel blog entry by stuartkil on Sep 24, 2013

I thought breakfast was being given at 7.30 so I got up at 7 (somewhat reluctantly you understand) but nothing happened at 7.30 at all. Don't know if the message got a bit mixed up in the "translation" or not. Bottom line is I left at 8 with a glass of water in me to last until the first village after 3 hours walking.

Noticed a mosquito having a go at my leg this morning. They are meant to be a nuisance amongst the ...
