    ... we spent too much time moving and not enough time enjoying.. Sandy described it well, moving every 2-3 days is for tourists, we are travellers.

    I thought breakfast was being given at 7.30 so I got up at 7 (somewhat reluctantly you understand) but nothing happened at 7.30 at all. Don't know if the message got a bit mixed up in the "translation" or not. Bottom line is I left at 8 with a glass of water in me to last until the first village after 3 hours walking.

    ... on the bread. The heat of the bread allowed the garlic to leave a bit of its oil on the bread. Jer cut our fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, then he sprinkled basil, salt and pepper. We heated the dried noodles and warmed the sauce. I added some garlic as it simmered. We had left over salami & soft pecorino cheese too. Again, not a few minutes after beginning preparing our meal did our resident beggar pup tapped at the glass door. He definitely has a good nose! ...
