Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Artorius Rome

    Piccolo hotel di altissimo livello

    from

    from

    from

    Erstklassiges, kleines Hotel

    from

Lovely New Hotel - Great Location

    from

Lovely new hotel in my favourite area of Rome. As a regular visitor to the city fro work reasons, I always choose Monti as my location of choice because it is simply the best area in Rome. The Artorius is a fantastic addition to the neighbourhood and fits in fantastically with everything else as is cosmopolitan, stylish and charming. Lovely little courtyard for breakfast and in the ideal location next to Via Nazionale, a cracking little spot to start from no matter what you are in Rome to do. Would recommend to all!

    Fantastico hotel nuovo, posizione eccezionale

    from

    from

Reizendes, neues Hotel in meiner Lieblingsgegend in Rom.

    Tolles, kleines Hotel

    from

    Superb small hotel

    from

We stayed 3 nights mid September 2007. Great location close to the Colisseum and Forum, near metro and buses, restaurants, shops. Via del Boschetto - typical Roman side street; narrow, cobbled. Artorius is a superb small hotel. Reception area and hallways; cool and tasteful with lovely stained glass. Room was quiet, very clean and well decorated with a great bathroom - a pleasure to come back to after a days walking around a fantastic city! Air-conditioning, mini bar etc. Staff were helpful and pleasant and breakfast in the open shaded courtyard was lovely - great cappuccino!

Very pleased with all aspects of Hotel Artorius and if/when I return to Rome I will definitely use this hotel again.

... Perth and so our bodies are telling us it is definitely bedtime. We both enjoyed a pasta dish and a glass of red wine, we then shared a dessert (apparently a grandmother's dessert so definitely suitable for our mood) and we had a coffee. They provided a couple of slices of home made bread for us to try, very nice. We came up to our rooms and it wasn't long before we realised we couldn't function properly any longer.

The Colosseum is today one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions, receiving millions of visitors annually. The effects of pollution and general deterioration over time prompted a major restoration programme carried out between 1993 and 2000, at a cost of 40 billion Italian lire ($19.3m / €20.6m at 2000 prices). In recent years the Colosseum has become a symbol of ...

Short siesta then off to Trastevere a great place to shop, people watch and have a cocktail to people watch - hilarious the wedding we got to see. ... in a material shop. We had to be careful to distinguish the streets from the canals. The upside was we had enough space to goose-step rather than penguin-march through the narrow Venetian streets.

Helen did not think that our very fast train to Rome was very fast. This is no doubt because our Croatian tour guide had taught her to 'sleep quickly' and she has applied this new skill to all modes of transport.
