Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Artorius Rome

      First class small hotel

small hotel, immaculately clean, beautifully furnished, excellent location and within short walking distance of trevi, colisseum spanish steps, shopping etc. staff very friendly and couldnt be more

helpful. rooms soundproofed and a very good size, eating alfresco in the courtyard was a marvellous start to every day. would recommend to

      any age group

      Erstklassiges, kleines Hotel

Lovely New Hotel - Great Location

Lovely new hotel in my favourite area of Rome. As a regular visitor to the city fro work reasons, I always choose Monti as my location of choice because it is simply the best area in Rome. The Artorius is a fantastic addition to the neighbourhood and fits in fantastically with everything else as is cosmopolitan, stylish and charming. Lovely little courtyard for breakfast and in the ideal location next to Via Nazionale, a cracking little spot to start from no matter what you are in Rome to do. Would recommend to all!

      Fantastico hotel nuovo, posizione eccezionale

Reizendes, neues Hotel in meiner Lieblingsgegend in Rom.

      Superb small hotel

We stayed 3 nights mid September 2007. Great location close to the Colisseum and Forum, near metro and buses, restaurants, shops. Via del Boschetto - typical Roman side street; narrow, cobbled. Artorius is a superb small hotel. Reception area and hallways; cool and tasteful with lovely stained glass. Room was quiet, very clean and well decorated with a great bathroom - a pleasure to come back to after a days walking around a fantastic city! Air-conditioning, mini bar etc. Staff were helpful and pleasant and breakfast in the open shaded courtyard was lovely - great cappuccino!

Very pleased with all aspects of Hotel Artorius and if/when I return to Rome I will definitely use this hotel again.

... bit of space that is available. Twice last night the bus got stuck in a few narrow streets, meaning a few scooters and even a car had to be lifted up and shifted out of the way. Mind you, it's a pretty big bus. Finally, all of the cobbled streets have a different feel to them. For you Discworld readers, Commander Vimes is totally right about being able to feel where you are by the cobbles under your soles. With the Contiki behind me I'm checked into ...

It included the Pantheon, Sant'Iganzio church, the Spanish Steps (made particularly famous by the 1953 movie Roman Holiday), Trevi Fountain (unfortunately under construction to ...

We leave Rome today in what has been an amazing three weeks of travelling Italy. Highlight after highlight and 3000 kilometres of serious driving by Murdoch. In our travels we have lost the computer adapter and so I am attempting this short blog on my iPhone. We left the mad roads of Amalfi and on to Rome via Genazzano. One of the "pilgrimage "points for me. We didn't know what to expect as I have always known the story of the picture inside the church but I ...

We had a little look at the Appian Way after the catacombs.

The rest of the day was spent exploring various churches around Rome including Santa Maria Maggiore. All of the churches are beautiful! I was heading back to Trogir the next day so spent the rest of the day shopping and walking around at a leisurely pace. ...
