... tea. A bit more strolling in the afternoon sun and we met up with Mum and Dad for dinner in the Galleria - this time Risotto Milanesse - delicious.
The kids had a ball in the Piazza Duomo climbing all over the statue, in black marble it was boild hot to touch. We strolled home via a grocery store, and didn't realise it was so late (9:30) until we walked into the foyer of the hotel, this late summer sun is fantastic!

After a leisurely breakfast we caught a water taxi to the station,much quicker than the ferry, boarded our train and off we went.Arrived in Milan at 1,30 and were at our Hotel Sanpi by 2 pm,had a bit of a rest and went out for lunch and a look around.Found ourselves in the middle of the city where there are lots of old buildings and a statue of Leonardo DeVinci which is right near the beautiful old shopping plaza,pretty spectacular. Built alongside a canal, two streets on either side of the water were filled with people, alive and teeming with activity. Finding what appeared to be the most popular spot on the block, we sat down and patiently waited for our server.

When I say patient, I mean over 30 minutes...time moves in slow motion here, and no one seems to mind. We couldn't read the menu anyway, ...
