Then it was time for the fun bit, rolling into the gnochi logs and then cutting and shaping. We both had a go at this, and Emma was definitely the winner! But I think I'd put that down to something that I haven't mentioned yet - the local wine! Il Fontanarra also make their own wine, and we had been quite liberally dosed with it since arriving for the class! As Emma has ...

... the different areas and found a great view over the plains towards Rome! Then it was back to the car and off towards our home for the night!

About an hour and a bit later we made it to Bolsena, a beautiful little town by a quite large lake just into Tuscany! ... I thought it would be too big and touristy, but Lyn thought we just as well as we are here. He parked on the outskirts and we walked in…up some steep roads. I now know why Italian women have such good legs! We were soon in the centre and into the basilica for a wander, before mooching into the main square (very very busy) and then to the duomo which was very pretty. Tegz and I managed to find a Murano glass shop, so she now has her first Murano jewellery. Not expensive ...

... the typical gelato shops etc, but then turned slightly inland, up some steps and into the old town. Wow! It was lovely. Just old and cobbled with so much atmosphere. I think I’m going to enjoy some of these random small places more than your typical Tuscan tourist traps. We spent a lovely hour just mooching and then sat and had an ice cream in a little local place near the lake.

We came back to the site and passed some ...
