... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

... with our packs and loads of cardboard. We might have got a few funny looks? In Como we found a remote spot and made a very valiant effort at a cardboard house. I think it may have failed quite miserably, it kind of kept falling over, but we did have cardboard to sleep on which was somewhat comfortable! We had a lot of fun in the Como area. We hiked a few mountains. We completed another dare of busking. We weren't quite sure how we would do it, but found a bucket ...

Saturday morning was a late and lazy start to the day under a low, grey overcast sky. We elected to stroll through Bellagio on the point of Lake Como. We caught the hourly bus which took about twenty minutes to reach the town. Lesson learned, buy your tickets wherever they are sold other than the bus. The bus driver charges 2X the price to issue tickets.

We toured Bellagio as did ...

Tomorrow is our last day in Europe this trip. We'll take the car ferry over to Cadenabbia, drive back to Geneva through Switzerland and spend the night tomorrow by the airport after turning in the car. We have had a fantastic journey this trip through Switzerland and Italy, and continue to be amazed at the beautiful sites and lovely people one can visit and meet. Thanks to all for joining us on this journey!

        Day 8 - Bellagio

We have been told by our loquacious host that parking in Bellagio is hard to find and expensive. She suggests we park in the neighbouring village of San Giovanni for free, and then take the tourist office suggested 2-hour walk through the glorious gardens of the Villa Melzi, the town of Bellagio and the village of Pescado.

All the attractions outside of ...
