... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

... to board yet another ferry, a very fast one (hydrofoil) to our final stop in Como. But first, since we had one hour wait in Bellaggio, we had to have our first Italian cocktail (Campari soda) and some other snacks. ... that there was a train leaving for Monza within 10 minutes of us arriving and so asked if we could board that instead of waiting 2 hours. The conductor didn't seem to care so we hopped on. This put us two hours ahead of schedule and we have found we prefer arriving in a new place early rather than late. It generally gives a better impression.
