The weather is comfortable warm and dry instead of unbearably hot and sweaty, ocean temperatures are still near their warmest, the beach badge patrol Nazis have retired for the season, and the mobs of Snooki and Situation wannabes have gone back to the pizzerias and tanning beds in the New York and Philly 'burbs.

The map show our entire route for the trip, but it will get more fleshed out as we go, Just for the record, we have now logged over 11,000 miles on the trip so far. Doing a little bit of research we found that it actually wasn't worth going up the empire state building instead a place called Top of the Rock. So our plan was to go to Grand Central ...

They were a lovely warm group, and it was so good to meet them all and have fellowship with them.

A very slow taxi home - roads jammed, pouring with rain. Snooze time ......aaaah !

Because of the continual rain [ it hadn't stopped all day] - we needed somewhere close to have dinner. John found out from reception that there was a good place to eat about 5 minutes away - Albert Hall Tavern. We ...

      Essence of restaurant

      Lokal

Lokal strips away pretentions of upscale restaurant, but deliver the quality. The first thing you see when entering Lokal is enormous beer vats and a very long dining area. The décor is stripped down, even hip hop, but clean. The food is excellent and what is even more surprising is so is the service, on this 300+ seat dining ...
