... Anyway back on topic. After 4-5 hours of speaking and showing each other travel photos they dropped me all the way home which was really nice. In my spare time (which lets be honest, there is a lot of spare time when you travel) I have started to watch TV in Spanish and really try to understand what they are talking about. I am starting to develop a slight ear for Spanish now even after such a short time, i can now distinguish the words even if i dont know the ...

... are lined with bars and shops. The large streets are lit up all year round and very pretty at night. Our hotel was just off a main street on the edge of the old town, by the harbour. A great base to explore the town from.

We also check out the huge fortress on the hill above Malaga for a great view over the city and Picasso Museum as Malaga was Pablo Picasso's birth ...

A very pleasant day, initially having a coffee on the beachfront at Fuengirola and then a drive up to the town of Mijas high in the Andalucian hills. It is a pretty town resplendent with its white washed houses. The view over the coastline below is also spectacular. I particularly like the way they have involved those who care about donkey welfare into the policies about their use in the town. This is my final say with Pete and Pam, perfect hosts as always and very enjoyable time ...

Old Ronda

Today we wandered round the old part of Ronda. There is not much of its Roman period to see but plenty from its Moorish times. We enjoyed a visit to the Moorish baths, down by the river, where there are also two bridges older than the Puente Nuevo. Back up in the old town we visited two old churches, one converted from a mosque which was built on a Roman temple! It ...
