Day 3, 4
Day 3 I wasn't traveling at all, I was busy working, However on the forth day I managed to go to a town not far from Barcelona called Lloret de Mar. It is a new town located just near the seashore, with wonderful forests at the same time. There are a lot of hotels there for every type of traveler.

... in the morning about teaching practice and methodology, then in the afternoon we have teaching practice, where we either teach or watch the other trainees teach. There are 6 trainees in total, some of whom are really cool, some of whom serve to affirm my normality. I´ve had two 30 minute sessions of teaching individually now. First one I was really nervous which showed a bit, second one went much better which was nice. Good to ...
Granollers, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands dave-mcgowan... to see for ourselves.
Tossa was just as they had described it – a lovely beach in a large bay with a castle on the peninsula. The weather was lovely as we explored the town and found a restaurant behind the castle wall to have lunch, where Alison got to taste paella at last. She enjoyed the meal – although she had to admit the paella she had ...
cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!
... Baeleric sunshine. It was pretty much perfect. Our hotel (and my bed there) was amazing!
The next morning we went to La Jonquera and visited a museum dedicated to the exiles of the Spanish Civil War. It was very interesting, but everything was only in Catalan, which made for a limited educational experience. Then we got back on the bus, and before I knew it there were signs flashing by that said France!! (minus the exclamation marks) They didn't ...
... half - v v v v v v briefly and only to me. I tried to take a photo but only got one of the locals.....oh well
We then headed back to town to drop off the car...no real dramas other than v heavy traffic.
We then went on to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral - that was started in late 1800's and only has 25-30 ...
... town is on a hill with windy, narrow streets. It is filled with small cafes. I go to one that has tables just below a monument that is lit. Menu is in Catalan. Some similarity to Spanish but different enough that I only catch a few words. In some places, I have found that on a buildings, they will have both Spanish and Catalan. I think my waiter gives up on me. It is 30 minutes before someone takes my order (not my waiter). No apologies.
Girona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands will.traveller... feel like i am touching the sun. We went back to the campsite bar hoping to further develop our representations. Unfortunately nothing was going on and we soon left. After this we bravely approached a group of girls (of which none of them i was interested in Tiff because you are amazing) on the beach but due to a lack of language skills ...

As a special birthday treat me and Olly decided to buy 3 litres of sangria (less than a euro), 3 litres of wine (less than a euro), a bottle of vodka (less than 4 euro), and a bottle of random spirits (less than 4 euro). We then hit the beach for the first time. Cooking our food amongst the rocks we met a wandering Dutch guy who spoke perfectly English. He sat with us for a cigerette. We then got truly hammered ...
... release what a great city it is. The vibe, the people and especially bars that don't close at 11pm! One of the things that were not expected on this day out in Beautiful Barcelona was rain!!! When it came down it really came down and like the travel gods were looking after us, they led us into a amazingly cool tapas bar, so we could:- 1. Drink fine red wine until the stock ran out 2. Watch the people outside get saturated and laugh! 3. Eat some of the best and freshest ...
