After days at sea we had a short stop in Malaga before docking the next day back in Savona. I have decided that I am not crazy about the days at sea. Even though I really enjoyed all the ports, I don't think I would do anther big curise. The fact that there were only small number of people who spoke enlgish on the ship was interesting. So wanted to speak another language .. any lanaugage. Even when I told the Germans I did nto speak Germann they kept talking!

Today was Thanksgiving back in the US, or as the Spaniards call it, Accion de Gracias. First of all, I would like to say that I am impressed by how much the Spaniards know about the United States. I called home and I told my mom that the Spaniards know about Thanksgiving and my mom was surprised that they know about it, and also how she doesn't know of any Spanish holidays. I've lived here for over two months and I still barely know ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89Malaga is the major city near Frigiliana (where the train dropped us off). We spent a day there when we picked up Jaime and Rob at the train station. Some highlights:
... this 5 euro mojito that he wasn’t going to drink. I asked him why he didn’t just ask for her to replace the drink and he told me that it is extremely rare for a bartender to ever replace a drink and that the Spaniards will usually never complain. I told him that I would go tell the bartender that we’d like to exchange the mojito and he was a little surprised. In my mind I was correct, if you don’t like it you ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89... was very tasty and I feel better that I can at least eat again without being so paranoid about where the food has been stored all day. We had met an english lady on the train that was so ill by the food in morroco that i felt really glad and relieved that we had come off so lucky.
Ian was feeling much better as well thankfully and we go on the bus to our final place the Costa Del Sol rodney! It was a ...
... I saw a bullfight my first week here and it really wasn't my cup of tea, but it was interesting to be where all the action takes place. I then proceeded to go exploring on my own, which I actually do quite frequently. I love people but I find I really enjoy some things better when I make my own experience not surrounded by what everyone else wants to do. I started by going down into the Ronda Gorge, which literally looks like a city built on a cliff. It is just ...
Ronda, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands aperisee... to go to the top even if he didnīt use the cable car. What a crock! We were short on time so we both took the cable car up with the basic A package. When we reached the top we were immediately greeted by some of the famous apes of Gibraltar. They are actually monkeys that are very tame but quite aggressive in the quest for food. When the cable car stopped at the top a monkey immediately jumped on the bars of the car to see what was inside. They ...
Gibraltar, Gibraltar rnriggins... m just a bit grumpy. As Tania has't been feeling well as of late, I was the one who got to get up early and hike up to the Alhambra to buy tickets for the day. Basically the system works as such: - you try to book tickets over the Internet and they're sold out - you try to book tickets over the phone (well, actually you get your good friend Margarita who speaks Spanish to try book tickets over the phone) and find out they're sold ...
Granada, Spain bradman... trying to get it charged. Every time i think i know how i can get it charged up, something goes wrong and it doesnīt charge, or my wall charger breaks because the voltage is different and the thing i bought to change the voltage doesnīt work the way i thought it would, or it doesnīt charge from the computer like itīs supposed to. So iīm reluctant to hope that iīll have some music (even just one song) after ...
