Yesterday was a quiet day at home in Lanciano. It was a national holiday (Ferragosto), so everything was closed and the city was deserted. Brendan and I were sick with a flu-like virus and Jackie came down with it in the evening. Brendan & I spent most of the day in bed. I was feeling somewhat better by evening.

Another, lovely and fun day in our Italian home!

We ended up in kind of a touristy spot with a great view of the beach, town & sea, but it was very touristy and high-priced. Termoli definitely a place to eat fish, which no one in our group likes!! We managed to find a few non-fish items on the menu and that's what we select. The food was just okay but we loved the view and it was nice to sit down and enjoy each other's ...

We have now been here 7 days! Where has the time gone?

It's Sunday, so we start hearing the church bells at 7. By 8, everyone is awake. We have 4 Catholic Churches in our neighborhood and there are 20 in Lanciano! There is a church that we can practically touch from pour window. I think their bells ring about every 15 min. on Sun. morning! This morning, it's looked like something special, like a wedding, was happening. It's interesting trying ...
